At the age of 14, Anantibai gave birth to a boy.

But the child only lived ten days. due to lack of medical treatment This proved to be a turning point in Anandi’s life and inspired her to become a doctor.

After Gopal we tried to enroll her in a missionary school but did not exercise. They moved to Calcutta. There she learned to read and speak Sanskrit and English.

Her husband encouraged her to study medicine. In 1880 he sent a letter to the famous American missionary, Royal Wilder. It was stated that his wife was interested in studying medicine in the United States. and is inquiring about a suitable position in the United States for himself.
