This movie has a really nice romantic arc. I think trying to include a romance and a romantic story would take away from the rest of the movie and the seriousness of the job and the dangers that musicians face. All the actors fit their roles very well and gave entertaining performances. Alexander Roebuck, who plays Captain Chaberov, does a fine job portraying the veteran. But in the end he wasn’t that bad and the actor gave a good performance.

Ekaterina Nesterova plays Jamilya, a Syrian woman and Captain Shaberov’s mistress. The actress is Russian. (I’m assuming with her name) But she plays the role of a Syrian woman and does a very good job as well. Although people say that her father is Russian and her mother is Syrian. So she mixed it up. She looks very Middle Eastern/Syrian to me in this movie. And I don’t think she’s a Russian actress at all. Overall, it’s a really good job. Both the casting and the performances she gave, the fight scenes, the explosions, the blood and guts, etc. all looked and felt so real. So it had to be done with the director and crew there with great VFX and SFX.
